Todd Broms

Todd Broms serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Broms Asset Management which was formed to create, market, and manage Broms NextShares exchange-traded managed funds (ETMFs). Todd’s background includes particular emphasis in financial services, merchant banking, market structure, new markets, exchange-traded managed funds, open-end management investment companies including mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), financial technology and patent prosecution. His operating experience includes corporate governance in regulated environments with significant expertise in financial engineering. Todd is the co-inventor of a wide range of unique features and processes for ETMFs and related order entry patents, which are protected by a deep portfolio of issued U.S. patents and underpin NextShares, a new type of actively managed fund designed to provide better performance and tax-efficiency. The SEC recently issued an Order granting Broms Asset Management and related Broms NextShares Trust an exemption from certain provisions of the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, to permit the offering of exchange-traded managed funds branded as NextShares indicating the SEC’s continued support for greater shareholder protection and interest to fix known deficiencies in the ’40 Act.
