Sean Holland

Sean Holland is a principal at Comave Advisors offering consulting services to institutional investors, capital allocators, and fund managers.

Previously Sean invested over $2 billion in Asian, European, Latin American and North American funds while co-managing a $16.5 billion portfolio with over 170 funds for one of the largest institutional investors in the U.S. – NYSTRS with over $100 billion of assets under management.

Sean was involved in establishing the pension’s first portfolio targeting emerging fund managers.

Sean also headed a portfolio of over $1.0 billion in equity and credit co-investments and participated on advisory boards of several leading funds in Europe, Asia and the U.S.

His background includes sourcing, structuring and managing equity and credit investments at MetLife and ORIX Growth Capital as well as at Hercules Technology Growth Capital and Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group.

At J.P. Morgan Chase, Sean helped start the bank’s high yield bond team in London, U.K. where Sean structured $4.5 billion of high yield bonds and loans to support the acquisitions of publicly-traded companies for buyout funds in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He is a former CPA at Ernst & Young. Sean has a B.S. in accounting from Babson College and an M.B.A from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
