Werner Nikowitz

Werner is head of renewable energy at StormHarbour. He has been focusing on the global power, renewable energy, and infrastructure sector for over 27 years advising clients on M&A, structured financing and tax equity transactions with an aggregate transaction volume in excess of $30billion.

Prior to joining StormHarbour, Werner was a Managing Director at Global Capital Finance with primary responsibility for the renewable energy sector in the Americas and at Reva Capital Markets for the renewable energy sector globally. He represented pension funds and institutional investors acquiring larger renewable energy on-shore and off-shore portfolios and worked with utilities, IPPs and developers disposing asset portfolios and raising tax equity in the US. Before that, Werner was at CIT Capital Markets and BNP Paribas/Capstar responsible for domestic and cross-border power, infrastructure, equipment finance, telecom and transportation transactions.

Werner began his career as an attorney at Shearman & Sterling’s New York, Paris, London and Frankfurt office, where he advised domestic and international clients on M&A, public and private initial and secondary securities offerings, structured finance, and leasing transactions and at Mayer, Brown & Platt in New York where he worked on public structured finance and leasing transactions, tax-advantaged offerings, registered placements and private placements.
