Esther Goodman

Esther E. Goodman has been involved in the alternative investment industry for more than 30 years. She is a co-Founder and Managing Director of Conyers Consulting Group, LLC, providing consulting and non-executive directorship services to alternative investment managers and funds; broad-based support and consulting to emerging CTAs and hedge fund managers; and, outsourced COO services to alternative investment managers and not-for-profit organizations.

From July-1986 to April-2014, Ms. Goodman was the Senior Executive Vice President and Global Chief Operating Officer of The Kenmar Group (which became The Kenmar Olympia Group in April-2012), where she led the front to back office operations of the firm; created and managed the firm’s proprietary managed account platform; managed significant client relationships; and was a member of the Investment Committee and served as Chairman of the Operational Risk Committee. For the three years prior to joining The Kenmar Group, Ms. Goodman served as a marketing executive at Commodities Corp. in Princeton, N.J. From 1979 to 1983, Ms. Goodman was a founder and principal of Westchester Commodity Management, a registered CTA, where she was instrumental in the development of its trading systems and shared responsibility for running all aspects of the asset management firm. From 1974 to 1979, Ms. Goodman worked in various capacities in the futures industry.

Ms. Goodman was a Founding Member and Director of the Managed Futures Trade Association from 1987-1991 and a Director of the Managed Futures Association from 1991-1995, successor organizations to the Managed Funds Association (MFA). In 2014, Ms. Goodman received the Lifetime Achievement Award from CTA Expo.

Ms. Goodman is a founder and Board Member of the Stacy Joy Goodman Memorial Foundation, a non-profit charity committed to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. She has been a National Board Member of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, the largest diabetes, cure-based research facility in the world, since 1998.

Ms. Goodman graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. degree in Child Psychology.
